Iz Kluba Porat u sklopu bogatog ljetnog programa, za ovu subotu 28.6. pripremili su premjerno gostovanje Frankfurtskog DJ-a i glazbenog gurua Atanasiosa Christos Maciasa, umjetničkog imena DJ Ata.
Ata je jedan od najdugovječnijih DJ-a i producenata njemačke klupske scene, osnivač triju etiketa te vlasnik jednog od najutjecajnijih klubova u svijetu. Zajedno sa kolegama iz poznate prodavaonice ploča Delirium pokreče izdavačku kuću Ongaku te nedugo zatim etikete Klang Elektronik i Playhouse koje su uvelike utjecale na oblikovanje elektronske glazbe u Njemačkoj i postale prepoznatljive po originalnom zvuku i talentima okupljenim oko DJ Ata-e. Spomenimo samo neke; Ricardo Villalobos, Isolee, LoSoul i Blaze producirali su mnogobrojna glazbena djela i pridobili publiku bez obzira radi li se o underground uradcima kao Villalobosov "Easy Lee", Isolee "Beau Mot Plage" ili velikog MTV hita "Lovelee Dae" Američkog dvojca Blaze. Kako Ata sam kaže, njegov posao je da kultivira, živi i razvija glazbu, a kako bi se mogao još više približiti publici, Ata u Frankfurtu otvara klub Robert Johnson, trenutno jedan od najznačajnijih klubova u svijetu, posvećen istoimenoj legendi blues gitare. Uz Atu, svoju glazbu uživo izvoditi će Marko Pelaić "Home Boy", član Zagrebačke izdavačke kuće i kolektiva Home Made Electronica rodom iz Stankovca. Spomenimo kako je Marko svojim posljednjim glazbenim izdanjem "Eggs and Beans" afirmirao vlastiti stil, zasnovan na house formama, o kojem se pozitivnim tonom pisalo u engleskom časopisu DJ Mag. Marko je autor i bubnjar, producent zagrebačkog Drumm'n'Bass benda BILK, te vješt izvođač koji svoju glazbu bazira na plesnim formama, eksperimentalnoj elektronici i otvorenoj komunikaciji s publikom.

Marco Beelen started his career as producer under the name DJ Marco Bailey. He first produced trance tracks for labels as Dance Opera and Bonzai Records. Around 1998 he started to make techno records, and used Marco Bailey as artist name on his records.
In 2002 he started his own techno label MB Elektronics.

8th Exhibition, openair event koji raste iz godine u godinu, održat će se u utorak, 24. lipnja 2008., dan prije Dana državnosti RH, na atraktivnoj lokaciji jezera i rekreacijskog centra Totomore u mjestu Totovec pokraj Varaždina. Riječ je o projektu koji i ove godine, zahvaljujući visokoj organizacijskoj razini, dovodi zvučna imena, desetak renomiranih domaćih i inozemnih izvođača i DJ-a, među kojima se posebno izdvaja
Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid, virtuoz elektronske glazbene produkcije. Na
čarobnoj, već provjerenojlokaciji jezera Totomore, nastupe vrsnih glazbenika pratit će visual art performanse, što uključuje izvrstan sound-sistem, svjetlosne instalacije, plesne izvedbe…
Glavna atrakcija bit će live-nastup Roberta Babicza, koji prvi put gostuje u Hrvatskoj. Starijim generacijama poznat i kao Rob Acid, jedan je od pionira elektronske acid house scene u Njemačkoj. Od svojih prvih produkcija, 90-ih, do danas u okviru brojnih projekata nanizao je stotinjak vinyl/cd izdanja i remixa raznih stilova - od eksperimentalne ambijentalne glazbe na tragu Karla-Heinza Stockhausena do klupskih rave acid himni za Svena Vatha.
Njegov album "A Cheerful Temper", objavljen 2007. za izdavačku kuću Systematic, koji je kritika ocijenila izvrsnim, rezimira njegov dosadašnji rad i kristalno čist zvuk na najvišoj razini kao pravo malo elektroničko remek-djelo u kojem prelama glazbene stilove tech-elektronike i klasičnog house zvuka. Da bi dobio taj specifični zvuk, koristi unikatne i modificirane glazbene strojeve. Softverske tvrtke Native Instruments i Steinberg služe se njegovim programerskim vještinama u stvaranju novih kolekcija zvukova, a usluge njegova vrhunskog glazbenog studija koriste i mnogi svjetski poznati izvođači te izdavačke kuće. Riječju, Robertovo je ime sinonim za vrhunsku mastering i postprodukcijsku uslugu.

Ivan Smagghe je počeo svoju karijeru sredinom 90tih radeći u dućanu Rough Trade, u kojem i upoznaje
Arnaud Rebotinija, te zajedno pokreću projekt Black Strobe. Ivan je po mnogima jedan od najtalentiranijih DJ današnjice, što i potvrđuju residencija od 10 godina u klubu Pulp u Parizu, Fabricu u Londonu te Robert Johnsonu u Frankfurtu. Sasha (born Alexander Coe on 4 September 1969), is a Welsh DJ and record producer. Sasha began his career playing acid house dance music in the late 1980s, and became a central figure in the development and popularisation of electronic dance music. He partnered with fellow DJ John Digweed in 1993, touring internationally and producing a series of mixes (compilations of other artists work played in a continuous fashion). Through their track selection and mixing techniques, Sasha and Digweed were instrumental in the evolution of progressive trance and house music.

Osim "mainstream" techno/goa/tech-house partya, nastaje i nekoliko alternativnih scena koje se formiraju tijekom 1998; od anarhoidnog tribala u Močvari i kasnije Attacku, preko male ali uporne drum and bass scene, do šminkerskijih i atmosferičnih klupskih fusion/house večeri "Kontrapunkt". Početkom 1999. godine opet se svaki tjedan dešava po nekoliko partya ; od najvećih klubova do malih poluprivatnih prostora. Vraćaju se i veliki partyi u dvoranama i na otvorenom, pogotovo ljeti tradicionalni free party na Ponikvama i Aquatica. Ali najveći nalet tek slijedi. Između jeseni 1999. i proljeća 2000. scena se, potpomognuta tech-house zvukom promoviranim od projekta Stereo Studio, penje u orbitu i definitivno izlazi iz undergrounda! Tjedno ima po dvadeset do trideset partya, od toga samo pola u Zagrebu. Inace poprilično anemična scena u Dalmaciji ljeti buja, postaje prepuna partya, a u unutrašnjosti , pogotovo Osijeku , scena jača. "Valkana beach 2000" i "Future shock 2001" po prvi puta prelaze broj od 10 000 ljudi (upitan podatak op. urednika). Još od 1994. godine grupa techno entuzijasta okuplja se na Internet newsgrupi hr.alt.rave, komentira glazbu i zbivanja, te ponekad naprave I kakvu web stranicu , ali tek tijekom 2000. godine nastaju stranice koje redovito prate i najavljuju zbivanja na sceni: pegla.com, er45.com, partijana.com, jacbri.com itd...
Potaknuti iskustvima zapadnih zemalja (gdje harm-reduction programi postoje već godinama) organizirana je udruga građana koja ima za svoj cilj poboljšanje uvjeta na sceni. Tako je nastala
"UDRUGA ZA ZDRAVIJU SUBKULTURNU SCENU-ŠPICA". Udrugu čine članovi-volonteri iz svih krajeva Hrvatske; od programera, sociologa, psihologa i popriličnog broja studenata koji rade na poboljšanju trenutačne situacije na sceni. Inicijativa je nastala u uvjetima posljednjeg party buma 1999. godine, kada je scena postajala sve veća, a uvjeti na partyjima postajali sve gori. Oni odlaze na partye i educiraju partyanere o opasnosti miješanja droga, ako se već "nešto" konzumira kako, dijele letke iliti flyere s raznim informacijama: od kako prepoznati toplinski udar (koji je zbog neadekvatnih prostora i uvjeta na današnjim partyima sve cešća pojava), kako koja droga utječe na tijelo i mozak, kako pomoći osobi koja je doživjela toplinski udar ili je konzumirala previše droge, do posebnih letaka namijenjenih isključivo djevojkama s informacijama o opasnosti uporaba droga tijekom menstrualnog ciklusa, trudnoce itd...
No veliki broj ljudi ne znači i veliku kvalitetu scene; val se krajem 2000. godine preklapa: zagrebačkom se scenom još jednom šire mrki pogledi, kronično pretjerivanje s drogama i alkoholom, tučnjave i divljaštvo. Takvoj se situaciji pridružuju organizatori koji se ne brinu pretjerano o uvjetima na partyima, gdje puštaju u prostor više ljudi nego što može stati, isključuju pitku vodu, podižu i podižu cijene. Godine 2001. izlazi i prvi časopis namijenjen techno sceni TECHNO-HR, ali nažalost, ugasio se nakon svega 2 godine.
Tijekom 2001. i 2005. god. party scena u Hrvatskoj doživljava manje uspone i padove, ali scena uvijek preživi zahvaljujući zaljubljenicima u cijeli taj pokret, PLUR, u zvuk prožet hipnotizirajućim ritmom baseva koji daleko u podsvijesti podsjećaju na afričke ritmove i pozivaju na povratak plemenu ritma...

Jonty Skrufff, predstavnik je britanske elektronske scene i jedan od vodećih performera na globalnoj alternativnoj elektronskoj sceni. Svoju glazbu opisuje kao "rocking electro disco tech" i njome oduševljava publiku diljem Europe i svijeta. Jonty Skrufff vodi radijsku emisiju na Ministry of Sound radiju, koja se emitira nedjeljom navečer.
TG je vlasnik njemačke izdavačke kuće Das Drehmoment, trenutno najpopularnije izdavačke kuće za sve koji prate trendove elektronske glazbe, a sada istražuje new school electro, disco, new wave, minimal, synth pop. Dream Disco je vrhunski projekt nizozemskog producenta Overdosea i jednog od najpoznatijih retro electro izvođača, koji je projektom Dream Disco zaronio u italo disco i iskoristio tradicionalne elemente tog glazbenog pravca, poput macho muškog i seksi ženskog vokala, i ugurao ih u suvremeni glazbeni izričaj te osmislio glazbenu podlogu za sve ljubitelje groovy, seksi glazbe s aromom 80-ih.

The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. Surprise slowly gave way to addiction when Takaaki Itoh was exposed to the sounds of such artists and labels as Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Hardfloor, Sven V�th, Harthouse, Warp and Rising High. This was his sound, and deciding he just couldn't get enough of it, in 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan.... Lexicon Avenue is an electronic music group,hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, consisting of Scott Bradford, Mark Armstrong, and Chris Scott. They have released singles on labels such as Saw Recordings, Forensic Records, and Yoshitoshi. James Holden is a British electronic music artist and DJ who has released numerous singles and remixes on different labels such as Lost Language, Perfecto Recordings, and Positiva Recordings. He currently runs his Border Community record label. He is also one-third of Mainline, which was responsible for the double single of "Narcotic" and "Innerspace". He has also worked with singer Julie Thompson as Holden & Thompson. Studied Mathematics at Oxford University and released his first record at age 19. In April 2006 his mix album James Holden at the Controls was Mixmag's Album of the Month.
