Sandy Rivera began producing house music in 1992, specializing in a more soulful sound. He has worked under a variety of pseudonyms, including Kings of Tomorrow, Soul Vision and Mysterious People, either alone or with partners Jose Burgos, Haze and Jay ‘Sinister’ Sealee (Rivera has parted ways with Sealee in 2002). He is the owner of labels BlackWiz (founded 1993) and Deep Vision Records (founded 1995). As a producer and remixer, Sandy Rivera has worked for a variety of other artists, including veteran jazz musician Terry Callier, Gisele Jackson, Bini & Martini, Michelle Weeks, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Walter L. Robinson. Although both are physically different, and they play different styles of house music, Sandy Rivera is often confused with fellow DJ and producer Robbie Rivera.

A perennial favorite as the best DJ in the world according to fans as well as the major mixing magazines, Carl Cox has been a part of Britain's dance scene from the heady days of disco through to the global clubland of the '90s, with temporary pit-stops covering hip-hop, the rare-groove movement and the immense rave revolution of the late '80s. That large span of time has undoubtedly affected his choice of records, since Cox routinely detours through breakbeat, Italian house and the dance mainstream during his usual sets of hard techno. Perhaps the best testament to his mixing skills is his immense popularity despite his focus on music much more intense than the brand of arena trance spawned by Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed, and others.
Cox was born in Manchester in 1962, to parents originally from Barbados (they later moved back, after he grew up). Cox began DJing family get-togethers at the age of eight, selecting records from his parents' stack of soul 45s. He was buying his own records soon after, and owned his first pair of turntables at the age of 15. The rest of his teens were spent making spare money at any event he could DJ; though Cox studied electrical engineering in college, he quit after six months and began working various jobs until he could become a full-time DJ.
Cox had followed the musical trends from disco to rare-groove on to hip-hop during the late '70s and early '80s, but the introduction of house into Britain during the middle part of the decade convinced him that he had found his niche. After moving to Brighton in 1986, his reputation bloomed during the acid house explosion of 1988-89; Cox played the opening night at Shoom, one of the defining club nights of Britain's house revolution (as well as other legendary hot-spots like Land of Oz and Spectrum). In front of 15,000 at the 1989 open-air event Sunrise, he unveiled his use of three decks on the mix; that signature technique built him into one of the top DJs of the late '80s and early '90s.
By 1992 Cox had signed an unheard-of long-term production deal with Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records and hit number 23 on the British charts with his debut single, "I Want You (Forever)." His second single "Does It Feel Good to You" also reached the Top 40, and he quickly diversified by setting up his own record label (Worldwide Ultimatum) and an international DJ agency (Ultimate). The onset of a more hardcore rave sound (and the fact that he was increasingly becoming pigeon-holed within it) forced Cox to spend several years re-establishing his niche. In a bit of irony, commercial successes like Cox's own steered him away from high-BPM candy-core and towards the still soulful house and techno scene.
Three years after his hit singles, Cox returned with the first volume in what became a genre-defining mix-compilation series, F.A.C.T.: Future Alliance of Communications and Tecknology. After the first volume dropped in 1995, surprisingly high sales figures earned a second two years later (released in America as well). One year later, Cox released his first studio full-length with 1996's At the End of the Cliché. Mix album The Sound of Ultimate B.A.S.E. followed in 1998, with another studio album, Phuture 2000, appearing in 1999. One year later, he released the self-explanatory Mixed Live, recorded at Chicago's Crobar. A second edition of Mixed Live appeared two years later along with the mix CD Global. The DJ's next busy year was 2004 with the Pure Intec mix CD appearing in August and Cox's entry in the Back to Mine series dropping in November. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

long lost classics from LFO's Gez Varley under his G-Man moniker on one gloriously red
transparent piece of 12" vinyl. "Quo Vadis" was recorded way back in 1994 and you can
just hear those Maurizio influences seeping out of every pore - a looped 4/4 template
squashed and stretched with neon stabs and a mesmerising minimal progression, tight, airy
hi-hats and effortless breakdowns..so so good. "El Jem" on the flip is from the same period
but is much more dubby, another Basic Channel session with all the percussive clunking
you'd want and then some, while "Sparticus" ends the set with another hi-hat-heavy
looped killer. Awesome stuff - once again HURRY to avoid dissapointment - this label
is on fire right now.

origins of the now monumentally massive German Trance and Dance music scene.

Garnier, Paul Browse, Mijk van Dijk and MFS label supremo Mr Mark Reeder
this now legendary exploration into the underworld of what was the most
significant force in driving dance music forward in the 20th century. It
contains rare early footage of the 1991 and 1993 Love Parade, and of the
now bulldozed Mutoid Waste Company land, E-Werk and Tresor - Berlin's
legendary (and now closed) clubs that started it all in the former East
Berlin.
Directed by Ben Hardyment, this documentary is imbued with an uplifting
and extremely positive energy - there are rumours of a film sequel in
the pipeline, but for now, sit back and enjoy 25 minutes of pure trance
music history.

BoraBora i Amnesia ce biti zatvoreni 1, a DC10 2 mjeseca. Zatvaranje je uslijedilo nakon sto je policija otkrila shokantnu cinjenicu da su odredjeni neodgovorni pojedinci u klubu konzumirali nedopustene supstance.
Kako ce ovo zatvaranje utjecati na sezonu jos ne znamo, no mozda ta odluka Spanjolskih vlasti potakne clubbere i partyzane iz Europe da zamijene ovogodisnju destinaciju odmora, pa umjesto na Ibizu dodju u Hrvatsku.

Daemia (Pavla) was born on 10th of june, 1981. in Split. She is a graduate of Business Informatics on the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and works as a business analyst in an IT company in Zagreb.
While being in primary school she played an acoustic guitar. Hearing Bach's Air one day on a regular music class in primary school first struck her cord and from that moment on she knew she had to be a part of music in any way possible. Not much later electronic music scene started developing in Croatia and she immediately fell in love with that new and exciting kind of music. Her first DJ-ing steps began in 2000. in club Kset (Zagreb) where she started learning about DJ-ing and developed the necessary skills.
With a desire for promoting quality progressive and tech house, she initiated Free Your Mind party series with her brother (Indigo). Her music style is mainly techy progressive house but she loves and follows a wide range of music styles and genres. At the moment, her favourite producers are Kriece, Fitalic, Jim Rivers, MOS and Chris Micali (to name a few).back

A child of the London acid-house explosion, British-born DJ and producer Dave Angel makes Detroit-styled techno with strong jazz and soul influences. One of the first artists of international renown to take Motor City futurism to a major-label level, Angel (born Dave Gooden) signed with Island's Blunted sublabel in 1996 and recorded his debut longform release, Tales of the Unexpected. Previously, Angel released EPs through the Black Market, Love, Apollo, and RS labels, as well as his own Rotation label, which was established following a string of charting hits in the early '90s, including the "Nightmare Mix" of pop group Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." The son of a jazz musician, Angel's roots are in bebop and modern jazz (as both a fanatic and a radio jockey) as much as in the Detroit-styled techno he is more often known for. Although he lived the common inner-city experience of crime and drugs, Angel glommed onto the burgeoning acid house scene in the late '80s after a series of jail sentences and the death of his father. Self-taught as both a producer and musician, Angel drew heavily in style and mood from original Detroit luminaries such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Eddie Fowlkes. A DJ of renown, Angel's following (both on the decks and on wax) has been strongest in Germany, where the hardcore, trance, and techno scenes regularly attract audiences far in excess of the house-centered U.K. and American scenes. His second album Globetrotting gained release on 4th Broadway in 1997. 1998 saw the release of “39 flavours of Tech Funk” a mix compilation on React Records (Mix album of the month ~ Muzik Mag) which received rave reviews from across the globe. “Dave Angel has been at the forefront of Techno for nearly a decade” (upfront Mag 98). Also being voted one of the best mix CDs of 1998. Bringing in more DJ work for the ever busy Mr Angel.

From the creator of the sukeban, or delinquency, genre of Japanese sexploitation films, comes this explosion of violence, sex, and just plain fun. Cult icon Reiko Ike stars as Ochô Inoshika, a pickpocket and gambler who gets into a heap of trouble when she meets the three villains responsible for her father's death.
