http://www.myspace.com/boriswernerBoris Werner is one of the most talented and wanted DJ's in Amsterdam scene. Famous for his enthusiasm behind the decks, his style is what we call organic funky soul music. Phat on the groove, thick on the basslines and yet subtile on the melodics. When Boris started producing his own sounds four years ago, it became clear that this was one of his talents.
Boris released his first track Matchmaker / Legeres in 2007, together with his friend and musical partner in crime Lauhaus. After its massive success, they released a second track called Revenge Of The Nerds (2008). These two successful releases drew a great deal of attention to Boris as a producer, and soon he was asked to make a remix of Keep On/Matthias Tanzmann. The remix was already highly supported by: Onur Özur, Mathias Kaden, 2000 and One, Tobi Neumann, Anja Schneider, Raresh and many more.
In the mean time Boris was busy producing his No Day Like Monday (2x12), which was released in august 2008 and immediately sold out. It became very popular with artists like: Raresh, Karotte, Kabale und Liebe, Kiko, Magda, Kiki, Djulz, Dave Ellesmere, Dan Curtin and more.
Besides being a DJ he's also a member of the laptop collaboration "Amsterdam 661 Live. They played on festivals like Welcome to the Future and 5 days Off and the infamous Panoramabar in Berlin.
Together with his friend Rick Nijhout, who is a part of the VJ collective S_loop. He made the TV Jingle for Ster & Cultuur.
Boris is a skillful producer and an amazing DJ. Born with an instinctive funkiness, he has the ability to move any crowd. With international bookings taking him across the border (München, Berlin, Rome, Sofia, London, Barcelona and many more) the future is looking bright.

Technasia je ime iza kojeg se krije francuski DJ Charles Siegling, a sve do prošle godine društvo mu je pravio i Amil Khan iz Hong Konga. Poslije susreta u Kini, tijekom 90-ih, njihova početna radna ideja bila je da stave jugoistočnu Aziju na mapu plesne elektronske muzike, a sa svojim duom su započeli 1996. godine. Nakon što se kineskom članu dua rodilo dijete, odlučio je napustiti svog partnera i posvetiti se brizi o djetetu. No, nije potpuno napustio glazbu, jer još uvijek vodi računa o menađmentu njihova labela. Kroz cijelu dekadu umjetničkog stvaranja, trudeći se da njihov zvuk asocira na jugoistočnu Aziju, napravili su i nekoliko “klasika” kao što su Hydra, Descent ili Force. Njihov glazbeni izričaj vuče korijene iz glazbe Yellow Magic Orchestra, Coila, Xymoxa, Einstuerzende Neubautena i nezaobilaznih Depeche Modea. Prije su kao duo bili poznati po live nastupima, a takvu praksu i danas je zadržao Charles Siegling kao solo izvođač. Sa svojim uvijek zanimljivim live nastupima, ovaj duo obišao je cijeli svijet, a kao rezidenti nastupali su u klubovima poput Womba u Tokiju, Nitse u Barceloni i Rex Cluba u Parizu.
Prvi album za europsko tržište "Future Mix" kojeg su izdali 2001. godine postavio ih je na sam vrh većine prestižnih techno DJ lista.
Iste godine, berlinski “Musik and Machine Awards” dodijelio im je nagrade za najbolji album pod nazivom "Future Mix", za najbolji singl "Force" i za najbolji novi sastav. Iza njihovog rada stoje i dvije izdavačke kuće “Sino” i “Star Tracks” koje su svijetu predstavile mnoga tek nadolazeća producentska imena kao što su Kelli Hand, Renato Cohen, John Thomas, DJ Skull, Joris Voorn, John Tejada...
2002. izašao im je album „Recreations“ s remixevima hitova s 'Future Mixa', a 2007. izdali su i album „Popsoda“. Njihove ploče nalaze se u torbama vodećih svjetskih techno imena među kojima su Dave Clarke, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin...

Andi i Hannes Teichman braća su po gramofonima, ali i po krvi. Za Sirup nam pripremaju pravi nasty zvuk njemačkog trashed up disco electra. Uvijek nasmijani, spremni za komunikaciju s publikom, na svojim ping pong setovima često nepredvidljivi. Dramatično miksaju žanrove od minimala do acida, chicaga, techna, rocka i housea, a u njihovim nastupima uživala je i publika cijelog svijeta – od Sibira, Južne Amerike, Bliskog istoka, Kine, Vijetnama pa sve do Filipina.
Osnovali su i svoj vlastiti label Festplatten, a izdavali su i za mnoge njemačke izdavačke kuće poput Kompakta ili pak L.age d.or-a. Festplatten je label koji je među prvima pronašao balans između funku, minimala i housea.
2007. izdali su svoj album prvijenac za label Leitfaden i Disko B, pod nazivom „The number of beat“ , a 2008. „Times Up/Hands Up“ za Teichtracks.
Uz braću Teichmann, Sirup vam donosi još jedno osvježenje. Prvo gostovanje Marka Pelaića, poznatijeg kao Home Boy. Home Boy je producirao albume Bilka, a i nedavno novi album Detoura. Isto tako blisko surađuje s DJ-em Sergejem i zajedno čine duo Bećari. Iako svoju glazbenu orijentaciju Marko jednostavno naziva plesnom glazbom, zapravo se poigrava s granicama različitih žanrova elektronske glazbe i gradi vlastiti osebujni stil.

Martin Schmidt i Drew Daniel su partneri kako u glazbenom, tako i u privatnom životu. Upoznali su se kroz punk-rock scenu San Francisca, počeli ozbiljnije baviti elektroničkom glazbom tijekom devedesetih, te izdali prvi album kao Matmos 1997. Nazvali su se tako po istoimenom jezeru sluzi iz sci-fi camp-klasika „Barbarella“, a poznati su po svom konceptualnom pristupu eksperimentalnoj elektronici: kultni album iz 2001. „A Chance to Cut Is a Chance to Cure“ je sazdan isključivo od zvukova snimljenih prilikom plastičnih operacija u jednoj kalifornijskoj klinici (uključujući rezanje mesa skalpelom, isisivanje masnog tkiva i slične životne radosti), a čak su si i za ponešto ležerniji zadnji album „Supreme Balloon“ bili nametnuli pravilo da u kreativni proces ne smije biti uključeno ništa osim sintisajzera. Surađivali su s Bjork na njenim albumima „Vespertine“ i „Medulla“ te svirali s njom na popratnim turnejama, a pored osam izdanih albuma skladali su i glazbu za nekoliko gay-pornića, jednu fliper-mašinu te NASCAR-ovu TV-reklamu. Oni su, ukratko, otpadnici koji zapravo nigdje ne spadaju: preradikalni su za pop-vode, a s druge strane previše zaigrani za akademski milje u kojem obitavaju (Martin je vodio odjel konceptualne umjetnosti na institutu u San Franciscu, a Drew predaje englesku književnost na univerzitetu u Baltimoreu). Iako su načelno u fahu home listening-elektronike, Matmos uvijek imaju na umu to da se najuzbudljivija elektronička glazba rađa i buja na plesnim podijima, te sa svojim živopisnim nastupima – ovom prilikom u Sirupu u sklopu programa mamatroniK - uspješno izbjegavaju zamke suhoparnih laptoperskih liveova.

And though the French-born, Geneva-based artist may not have a manor to his name, the rest isn't far off the mark. Born Renaud Lewandowski, Lee has earned a reputation as a kind of dark prince of uplifting electronic music-a trickster who spreads his mischief via long, undulating DJ sets and bewilderingly funky releases. And he's done this in a remarkably short span of time. In 2004, he and Philippe Quenum released the well-received "Extension"/"Oregon" single for Luciano's Cadenza label; since then Lee has gone on to unleash a deluge of material on labels like Mental Groove, Bpitch Control, Memo, Plak, Defrag Sound Processing, Mobilee, Leena, Wagon Repair, Soma (where Lee and Quenum also released their collaborative album, As Told On The Evening Of...) and still more. He's a regular fixture at some of the world's most celebrated nightclubs-Weetamix, Panorama Bar, Goa, Rex Club, D edge etc...and even more celebrated afters. And as the director of two labels-Num, alongside Quenum, and 60Sec, with Agnes-he's released dozens of records from the likes of Ripperton, Mike Shannon, Dachshund, Alex Attias and many more.
But while it's been a comparatively rapid ascent, Lee's roots go deep. His musical prehistory may be similar to many of his generation: raised on rock and hip-hop, complete with the obligatory attempt to learn to play guitar followed by short-lived bands with schoolmates. But Lee was the beneficiary of his stepfather's eclectic musical tastes, which spanned classical, jazz, funk, rock and even musique concrete and academic electronic music. "I was fascinated by the metallic sleeves and their geometrical designs," he remembers, suggesting a possible source for the shimmering timbres and clever vectors of his own music.
The pieces first fell together in 1993, when a friend invited Lee to attend a rave in southern France, near where he lived. "That was the shock of my life," says Lee, echoing a sentiment that will be familiar to many. "That was what I was looking for, without really knowing it-thousands of people dancing and sweating in the open air. An amazing soundsystem. And this never-ending kick that drives you to madness... Since that day, I've devoted my life entirely to being a part of this."
Lee got involved with the infamous Dragon Bal raves, where Miss Kittin got her start; he worked mundane jobs, saved money, bought decks and a mixer and taught himself to spin. He came to production the same way, beginning with an MPC2000, but translating the sounds in his head into its fat, blocky pads wasn't as easy as it seemed. His ambitions took Lee to Geneva, where he earned a degree in music engineering, but it may have been his next job, working in a Lausanne music shop, that really signaled his entry into the world of electronic music. "Even if the boss was a crazy guy, the shop was like a goldmine, full of gear and old analog synths, drum machines, all the recording and mixing tools you could dream of," he recalls with awe. He took advantage of his employee discount to build out his studio, and just as importantly, the shop served as a focal point for all the area's musicians. It was here that Lee would meet both Quenum and Luciano-and from there, as they say, the rest is history...
There's no single description for Lee's productions, which have proved unusually malleable in his half-decade of releases; an early interest in the skittish rhythms of labels like Warp and Skam remains evident, but reformatted for the supple grooves of deep house and classic minimal techno. His time in the Lausanne music shop clearly served him well; Lee's tracks immediately stand out for their fine sense of detail, an almost intangible shimmer. Utilizing samples, drum machines and all manner of synthesizer, Lee's music remains open to every possibility. "It's an empirical process," he says of his method. "Each sound or loop brings me to the next one, and so on, until the moment that I feel I have all the elements I need to finish the track. Of course, there are always surprises and accidents-that's what makes the magic in writing music."
Lee's DJ sets are similarly spirited. "Technically, I like to surprise myself," he says. "I like to do a long, smooth mix, and then a radical one... It's important for me to try telling a story, so of course your technique is another way of doing that, along with the music itself. With time and with age, maybe, the tempo really decreased-I think I play a bit deeper now than five or six years ago. But I still love a good, bouncy track if it's not too aggressive, and if the energy serves the groove instead of breaking it." Slowing down also means stretching out. "I like to play long sets," he continues, "when you don't have to rush, and you can really forget yourself and build something different."
2009 finds Lee stretching out as never before. The year began with his Free For All Crash Endeavors, released on his and Quenum's Num label, and The Variable Man (Leena), with one track featuring Lee's longtime colleague Agnes; Lee also collaborated with Anja Schneider for Mobilee's 50th release, "Deseo"/"La Roulette." Further releases are out now, or due soon, on Saf Series, Material Series and Curle Recordings. But the year's biggest development may be Lee's return to Cadenza, the label that helped launch his career five years ago. In May, Lee will appear alongside Luciano, Glimpse and Guy Gerber on a split EP; he also joins Cadenza Booking, joining a family-style roster that includes Luciano, Thomas Melchior, Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Mirko Loko and many more of electronic dance music's most innovative players. Count Lee has returned to his Swiss manor, the gates are wide open, and the beat is beckoning.

Pozdravi dragi naši gosti - kako stvari stoje zadnjih par vikenda zarolali smo zabave za pamćenje. Nema smisla da ih imenujemo jer nebi bilo pošteno, ali da smo plesali na mjuzu kao nigdje drugdje, jesmo. I da, ispalo je super sa prostorom za pušenje - odmah kod DJ pulta i plesnog podija. puši, pij, plesi, druži se ...imamo i novi i bolju klimu, sve je tu.
E sada, da kao mali intro nešto kažemo o programu za 6 mjesec. Obzirom da se planiraju praznici, jer ih ima bome dosta u 6 mjesecu i bježite na more. Mi smo odlučili još ostati u Zagrebu, jer Porat krece 25.07. - pripremite se za line up koji je festivalski, a ipak je clubbing doživljaj - ipak je samo jedan Porat :-)

Uvijek je rado viđen gost u Hrvatskoj. Elektronsku scenu očarao je nevjerojatnom tehnikom miksanja, kao i svojim prepoznatljivim zvukom. Zato nije ni čudno da su se njegova izdanja našla u torbama najboljih svjetskih dj-eva, te da je on sam nastupao sa svim velikim techno imenima diljem svijeta. Još kao tinejdžer bio je fasciniran sintisajzerima i ritam mašinama, pa je bilo i za očekivati da će mu se elektronska glazba uvući pod kožu. Ljubav prema glazbi stekao je boraveći s ujakom u CD shopu, a već sa 16 godina bio je rezident u jednom beogradskom klubu. 1996. Godine s Dejanom Miličevićem osniva organizaciju Teenage Techno Punks. Svjetsku slavu stekao je družeći se s najboljim slovenskim DJ-ima Umekom i Valentinom Kanzyanijem koji su kao producenti, igrali ključne uloge u njegovim počecima i promociji na internacionalnoj sceni. Uvijek naglašava podršku koju dobiva od DJ Rusha.
Marko je 2002. počeo ekskluzivno izdavati svoju glazbu za Recycled Loops i Earresistible Musick za koje je izdao brojna izdanja poput „Devil in My Pants“, „Let’s Get High“, „Miles And More“, „The Return Of Evil Dick Ninja“ i „Sexy EP“. Sa ovim izdanjima Marko je postigao veliki svjetski uspjeh kao producent. Krajem 2004. lansirao je svoj vlastiti label Recon Warriors, koji je prvi takav techno label u Srbiji, a poslije je započeo i s radom na labelima Recon Light i Traffica. Na ovim labelima mogu se naći imena poput Dejana Miličevića, Leona, Kobaje, Umeka i Valentina Kanzyanija.
Ovaj vrhunski DJ svjetske reputacije na velikim floorovima razbija i dovodi publiku do delirija, dok na malim floorovima svira za „ekipu“. Upravo takvu, intimniju vrstu glazbe, možemo očekivati i u Sirupu.

Rabac Summer Festival
Zahvaljujući suradnji Monvi centra i Rabac Summer Festivala ovog ljeta Istra ponovo ugošćuje najveća imena elektronske glazbe. Umjesto dosadašnje lokacije Rabac Summer Festivala mjesto održavanja dvaju najvećih ljetnih open air događaja u Istri biti će Monvi centar.
U Rovinj 24. srpnja dolazi najveće ime elektronske glazbene scene – DJ Carl Cox ! Legendarnog DJ-a vjerojatno ne treba posebno predstavljati. Obilježio je zadnjih 25 godina na glazbenoj sceni i još uvijek je najtraženiji DJ današnjice. Carl Cox briljira kao producent, umjetnik, remikser, radijski DJ i općenito je jedan od najistaknutijih ambasadora plesne glazbe. Vrlo bi teško nabrojali sva njegova dostignuća, utjecaj te doprinos elektronskoj glazbenoj sceni, no izdvojimo kako je sa strane čitatelja Mixmag magazina proglašen najboljim DJ-jem proteklih 25 godina. Njegova radijska emisija "Carl Cox Global" prenosi se u 24 države i prati ju više od 4 milijuna slušatelja. Svi oni koji su imali priliku slušati njegove skorašnje nastupe složit će se kako legendarni CC ne živi na staroj slavi, već konstantno prenosi novi nevjerojatni zvuk.
U Monvi centru 8. kolovoza očekuje vas još jedan glazbeni spektakl u obliku prošle godine započetog serijala »INDUSTRIJA«. U priču atraktivnih gostovanja najkvalitetnijeg elektronskog zvuka nitko se ne bi bolje uklopio od Johna Digweeda.
John Digweed je jedan od onih DJ-a čije će ime također biti zapisano zlatnim slovima u povijesti plesne glazbe. Uz njegovo ime vežu se svi najznačajniji projekti zadnjega desetljeća (Northern Exposure, Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance, Fabric...). Posljednjih 6 godina John Digweed tjedno vodi već kultnu radijsku emisiju "Transitions" na radijskoj postaji Kiss 100 FM u kojoj, osim što ugošćuje najveća imena plesne glazbene scene, prezentira mlade i talentirane DJ-je koji upravo mixevima za »Transitions« stječu svjetsku afirmaciju.

Transglobal Underground je jedan od najcjenjenijih britanskih bendova. Osnovali su ih Alex Kasiek, Tax D i Hamid Mantu. Početak njihovog djelovanja je u ranim devedesetima kada objavljuju prvi album "Dreams of 100 Nations". Tada njihovo pojavljivanje predstavlja novost na glazbenoj sceni te oduševljavaju kritičare i glazbenu publiku. Singlovi su mnogo puta zauzeli prva mjesta na top ljestvicama, uključujući i one u respektabilnim medijima poput NME-a, Mix Mag-a, Melody Maker-a i drugih. Drugi album „International Times” izdaju za poznatu diskografsku kuću Sony. Nastupajući na velikim festivalima i koncertima u Europi, Americi, Indiji, Tunisu, Južnoj Africi dopiru do šire javnosti te njihova kvaliteta postaje prepoznatljiva, a redovi ispred stagea nepregledni. Glazba je odličan spoj različitih zvukova i tradicija, od indijske, afričke i izraelske do europske, koju kroz fuziju s elektronskim pravcima približavaju mlađem naraštaju. Potvrdu svom radu dobivaju 1998. godine kada ih Jimmy Page i Robert Plant iz Led Zeppelina pozivaju na zajedničku europsku turneju. Transglobal Underground sebe opisuju kao prave predstavnike multikulturalnog Londona, a uz Manu Chao, Asian Dub Foundation i Afro Celt Sound System jedni su od začetnika crossing border scene. Na zadnjem, sedmom albumu, „Moonshout“ (2007.) surađivali su novi članovi benda Krupa i Rav. Prošlu godinu iskorištavaju za live svirke, dok početkom ove godine izbacuju još jedan single sa zadnjeg albuma („Dancehall Operator“). Transglobal Underground oduševljavaju live nastupima u kojima se čuje mnogo različitih stilova, od housea i duba i to sve popraćeno indijskim, arapskim, afričkim sampleovima..
Kako oni sami kažu, Transglobal Underground se morao pojaviti. Oni su odgovor svima koji su rekli da se world music ne može miješati s drugom glazbom. Od instrumenata koriste sitar, jambe, veliki afrički bubanj, klasične bubnjeve, bass i laptop s kojeg puštaju samplove i matrice, tako da je njihove nastupe jako teško opisati, morate ih jednostavno vidjeti.

After honing his craft from the early 1990's, firstly as a DJ and more recently as a producer, the last twelve months have contained a string of smash 12"s and his increasing profile has taken him well beyond UK shores, with DJ tours of North America, South America and Australia and Asia under his belt.
Simon scored his first hit back in 2004, under the alias 'The Liptrick' with the track of the same name. After initially surfacing as a white label single, The duo were spotted by Ralph Lawson's 2020 Vision and he instantly signed to an album deal. It made its way onto the compilations of Damian Lazarus, Tiefschwarz and Dan Ghenacia to name but a few. The bar had been set, however The Liptrick were soon to go their separate ways, as Simon pursued a solo sound which he chose to present on his own Infant Records label, which launched in 2005.
These initial forays, such as 'Footprints', 'Aerosol Games' and 'The Headrow' EP gave Simon the freedom to experiment in the studio throughout 2006 and the tremendous reaction from the dance music press, DJ's and the dance floor set the tone for his later success. The label has since gone from strength to strength with more releases from Simon alongside Paul Woolford, Burnski, TG, Anthony Collins, Sian, Rekleiner, Jamie Jones and more.
Summer 2007 proved to be the making of Simon with three key releases taking him to the next level. His huge hit 'Confused' on Viva, 'The Fly' on Connaisseur, before the ubiquitous 'Plastik' on Playhouse capped things off in amazing style, eventually being voted 4 single in Resident Advisor's tune of the year award.
In 2008 the challenge was to rise to the standards already set. Already in demand as a DJ through residencies at two of the UK's most acclaimed underground nights (Asylum at The Mint Club in Leeds and DDD in London), he now toured Europe's finest clubs such as Weekend Club, Watergate, Robert Johnson, Panorama Bar and Cocoon in Germany, Droog (LA), The EndUp in San Francisco , Sullivan Room, Bar 13 (NYC), Nitsa in Barcelona, The End and Below (UK), the Piknic Electronik festival in Montreal; Unit (Tokyo) and many more.
Despite this relentless touring schedule, the hits keep coming. Sven Vath hand-picked Simon for his 'H' compilation on Cocoon - the resulting offering 'U' was unanimously declared an album highlight and won him many new fans from the labels devout following. Also coming through was Simon's huge re working of Simian Mobile Disco's 'Sleep Deprivation as well as tracks for Leftroom, 2020 Vision and Rekids and Get Physical along side friend Jamie Jones.Simon is now turning his attention to remixing indie artist's too, starting with Tennessee's Courtney Tidwell on City Slang Records, following up Ewan Pearson's masterpiece.

Večeras radimo party na brodu na Savi kod nasipa u Trnju, jako blizu Močvare. Tulum je poluprivate i namjerno objavljen u zadnji tren, informacije se šire dobrim starim načinom - od usta do usta, malo misterije u ovo doba preizloženosti informacijama ne škodi. ; )
Upad je pišljivih 20 kn i služi kao donacija za Mackie sound system, ne bi htjeli slušati našu omiljenu mjuzu na trulom razglasu. : )

Elektronički pionir, studijski genij, indie dance inovator... tek su neki od epiteta kojima se najčešće časti lik i djelo britanskog DJ i producenta Andrewa Weatheralla kojeg Vam Sirup dovodi uz svesrdnu pomoć i suradnju udruge Safe House iz Križevaca, koja je tamošnji istoimeni klub postavila na mapu globalne techno scene. Njegovi su počeci vezani uz prve valove britanskog acid house zvuka ranih 80-tih i kultne Shoom večeri, na lageru su mu radovi za prije svega Primal Scream, ali i New Order, Bjork, Beth Orton, The Orb i My Bloody Valentine, a zbog njega su glazbeni kritičari navodno smislili i naziv IDM (intelligent dance music).

Rođen 1963. i odrastao u Windsoru, uspavanom rubnom dijelu Londona, Andrew je svjedočio eksploziji punka te pokupio ne samo energiju i imidž povezan s tom scenom, već i sam stav o neodvojivosti sadržaja i stila, koji je zadržao do današnjih dana. U glazbene vode ušao je putem fanzina "Boys Own", pokrenutog sa Terryjem Farleyem i Steveom Hallom, s kojima je komentirao ne samo glazbu, već i modu, nogomet i brojne druge teme, da bi dvije godine kasnije uletio na mjesto rezidenta Ramplingovog kluba Shoom, izazivajući kaos na podiju svojim eklektičnim miksevima.
Prvi studijski rad bio je onaj sa Paulom Oakenfoldom na klupskom remiksu singla "Hallelujah" Happy Mondaysa, no suradnja nakon toga nije dugo trajala. Obzirom da Andrewa nikada glazba nije zanimala u smislu karijere, već isključivo posla kojeg radi iz ljubavi, krenuo je u posve suprotnom pravcu od Paulovog, mada će budućnost pokazati kako je već u startu imao sve predispozicije postati zvijezda sličnoga kalibra. Naime, uslijedili su drugi remiksevi, uključujući one za New Order i Primal Scream, od čije je izmučene rock balade "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have" složio komercijalno odlično primljeni klasik "Loaded", zaradivši priliku da producira njihov bezvremenski LP "Screamadelica" iz 1991., još uvijek smatranim jednim od ključnih trenutaka spajanja indie pop i klupske kulture.
Bez ikakve želje za počivanjem na lovorikama, Weatherall nastavlja raditi na bogaćenju svoje diskografije. Prije svega tu treba izdvojiti projekt Bocca Juniors i izdavačku kuću Boys Own Recordings (preimenovanu u Junior Boy's Own nakon njegovog odlaska 1992.), potom trojac Sabres of Paradise koji je osim produkcije bio aktivan i po pitanju klupskih večeri naslovljenih Bloodsugar i Sabresonic, te konačno projekt sa Keithom Tenniswoodom (aka Radioactive Man) koji je posebice obilježio Weatherallov glazbeni put - Two Lone Swordsmen.
Pod tim su imenom istraživali raznolike stilove, od electra i 4/4 techna do downtempo breakbeata i post punka, originalno izdajući materijale na Weatherallovom labelu Emissions Audio Output. Ubrzo potpisuju za kultni Warp, na čijem su popisu artisti tipa Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin i Autechre, što se pokazuje kao odlična prilika za ispoljavanje potrebe za glazbenim eksperimentiranjem. Istovremeno, Andrew i Keith uz pomoć Nicka Detnona pokreću novi label, Rotters Golf Club, na kojem izdaju produkciju više orijentiranu plesnom podiju, potpisanu raznim pseudonimima (Aramchek, Basic Units, The Black Balloons, Frisch Und Munter, Hidden Library, The Hold, Jnr Poon, Klart, Klunk, Lino Squares, Rude Solo...). Cijeli projekt nastao je po njihovim riječima kroz kućna druženja spomenutog trojca uz "razne mesne specijalitete, igranje golf igrica i slušanje dobre glazbe", a svakako je zanimljiv i podatak kako je upravo na ovom labelu 2006. Weatherall izdao solo single "The Bullet Catcher's Apprentice" konačno potpisan vlastitim imenom (prvi put u 30-godišnjoj karijeri!).
Tu broj Weatherallovih aliasa i projekata ne staje: u njegovoj diskografiji nalaze se između ostalih i Meek, Planet 4 Folk Quartet, The Major & Brother T te Lords Of Afford, a za određen broj njih nikad nije objavljeno ili potvrđeno da upravo on stoji iza njih. Lista remiksiranih kolega još je impresivnija i uključuje između ostalih i Björk, Siouxsie Sioux, The Orb, The Future Sound of London, New Order, Manic Street Preachers, My Bloody Valentine, Saint Etienne, James i mnoge druge.
Gostovanje čovjeka uz čije su radove odrastale generacije i koji se slobodno može smatrati jednim od tvoraca elektroničke scene kakvu danas poznajemo nešto je što se nikako ne bi smjelo propustiti! Do onda, preporučamo preslušavanje nekih od službenih mix kompilacija: "Fabric 19", "From The Bunker - A Rotters Golf Club Mix", "Neo Disco", "Haywire Coastal Assault Squad", "Hypercity"... kao i njegovih zabilježenih klupskih DJ nastupa.

Leprsavi setovi s ritmovima Jamajke i Afrike
Nakon što je desetak godina djelovao kao MC reper, švicarski glazbenik Yves Larock u manje od toliko postao je inetrnacionalna zvijezda i izuzetno cijenjen DJ/ producent na house sceni. U svojim lepršavim i veselim setovima kombinira ritmove Afrike i Jamajke, a njegov virtuozni set imet ćete priliku čuti u Aquariusu 16.05.2009.
Larock je uzlet u svojoj DJ karijeri doživio zahvaljujući veoma popularnom klubskom hitu iz 2005. godine „Zookey“. Single koji je prodan u više od 150 tisuća primjeraka bio je najsviraniji klupski hit te godine.
Kao producent se ipak potvrdio sa globalnim hitom „Rise up“ u 2007. godini, upravo zbog optimističnih riječi pjesme kojima reggae vokalist Jaba publiku na plesnom podiju redovito dovodi do delirija. Pjesma je postala broj 1 na glazbenim ljestvicama u više od dvadeset zemalja, a sudbina joj je bila određena već prvoga puta kada je puštena na Kiss radiju (UK) i prije nego što je bio određen datum službene objave. A isti scenarij se ponavljao svakog puta: telefoni na radio postajama užarili su se od poziva i nije bilo druge nego uvrstiti je na playlistu. Jedan od velikih suportera bio je i Pete Tong, koji ju je u proljeće 2007. Pustio na svom Radiu 1.
Međutim, stvar nije bila samo hit u Europi, već je sada postala gotovo klasik u Južnoj Americi, SAD-u, Africi, Indiji i Južnoj Africi....
U manje od deset godina, koliko se bavi elektronskom glazbom, Yves je svojim originalnim stilom kojim house kombinira s reggae i zouk ritmovima, preme ocjeni publike i kritike, ostavio nezamjenjiv trag na house sceni. Svoj jedinstveni stil izgradio je korištenjem zvukova egzotičnih instrumenata, kao što su bendžo, balafon ili havajski čelični bubnjevi.
Kao MC reper djelovao je devedesetih godina pod imenom Arsenrock. Svi su ga zvali Larock i otuda njegovo novo umjetničko ime, koje koristi od 2000. godine kada je počeo istraživati svijet elektronike. Danas je jedan od traženijih DJ-eva koji svaki vidend nastupa u vodećim klubovima diljem svijeta i uskoro objavljuje svoj prvi album.

Here's the basics: I'm Irish but I've recently re-located from London to Berlin. I'm a burgeoning maker of techno.
I got my start as a DJ while working for Mixmag where i spent seven years working my way through various titles: club listings ed, news ed, music ed and features/Big Tunes ed.
My first track Machine Ate My Homework was released on Moodmusic in 2006 and was supported by a wide range of people including Laurent Garnier, Luciano, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, MYLO, Ewan Peason, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Howells and James Lavelle.
The follow up 'So That's What Happens' was released on Moodmusic in December 2006 and is a collaboration with Craig Torrance. My remix of the debut single from the excellent UNKLE album with The Cult's legendary Ian Astbury on vocals came out in August 2007. Berlin's True To Form label released my next track 'Praia Brava' in January. Get Physical offshoot KIndisch put out my Opium Haze/Professional Exit 12" a few weeks later and and a remix for F COmms star Alex Kid's new label Imprimé is due in February amongst other releases on labels like Paradigma, Moodmusic and Leftroom.
As a journalist I've written for broadsheets like the Irish Independent and the Scotsman and been interviewed as a dance culture pundit on ITV News, Channel 4 News, BBC News 24, BBC 1 News at 6 to name a few. I started my career as an intern at CNN in Atlanta. I've been DJing professionally for four years. I'm currently resident for Bristol's leading underground party Bump and as a DJ I've played in places like Ibiza, Barcelona, Brazil, Portugal, Ireland, Miami, The Ukraine and Poland as well all around the UK.

Mozda ste primjetili kako zadnjih dana nismo bili jako aktivni na blogu. Svemu je kriv Amsterdam i Queensday, jer smo ove godine 1.maj odlucili proslaviti u Nizozemskoj.
Vasa stereosound ekipa vam donosi malo videa i slikica. Kako se josh privikavamo da smo opet ovdje, malo cete pricekati za potpuni update kako je bilo. Uglavnom, iz Zagreba smo zbrisali u srijedu (29.), a vratili se u nedjelju. Svatko tko je bio u Amsterdamu reci ce da je 4 dana prekratko za taj grad i istina. Sve je prebrzo proslo, no nadamo se da ovaj put nece proci tri godine do sljedeceg posjeta tom velicanstvenom gradu i ljudima.
Na sam Queensday (dan kada nizozemska Kraljica slavi rodjendan) cijeli grad je u muzici, dobroj zabavi i plesu. Plese se na svakom koraku, DJ sviraju sa brodova, iz stanova, iz birceva ili postavljenih tribina.
Nevjerojatno, ali setajuci gradom i kanalima, muzika koja se uglavnom mogla cuti je bila elektronska. Stalno sam razmisljala o tome, hoce li Hrvatska ikad dozivjeti taj stupanj....

Svjetski poznati DJ, producent i remikser Steve Rachmad, iz Nizozemske nam stiže u Sirup. U zemlji klompi i tulipana mnogi ga smatraju europskim ocem Detroit techna, a tijekom niza godina stekao je veliku reputaciju u svijetu elektronske scene. Njegovi DJ setovi, u kojima je imala prilike uživati publika diljem svijeta, slično kao i produkcija, odišu impresivnim stringovima, melodijama, te toplinom funka i soula.
Za izdavačke kuće poput Music Man, Cocoon, Tresor, Sino i M-Plant producirao je velik broj izdanja koja se smatraju bezvremenskim klasicima techno glazbe, a na listi remiksiranih kolega nalaze se između ostalih Derrick May, Armand van Helden, Chris Liebing, Heiko Laux, Basement Jaxx, Armin Van Buuren, The Advent, M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade, James Ruskin i brojni drugi. Osim pod vlastitim imenom, njegovi radovi mogu se naći i pod brojnim psudonimima: Sterac, Sterac Electronics, Ignacio, Parallel 9, Tons of Tones, Scorp, Black Scorpion, Dreg itd. Kao vrhunac njegove karijere spominje se razdoblje od 1996. pa sve do danas. Ipak, manje je poznato da je Steve u glazbenim vodama već punih 25 godina, a DJ karijeru započinje sa nepunih 16 godina u jednom amsterdamskom klubu.
Steve je trenutno vlasnik dvaju labela - "Scorp" i electro label "Sterac Electronics". Nedavno je izdao i ploču za Saved Records, label od Nica Fanciullia, house DJ-a i rezidenta kluba Spacea na Ibizi, i Andya Chatterleya. Upravo je ovo izdanje dokaz da je sve manja granica između techna i housea.

ABOUT SONIC UNION - Ike aka Sonic Union from Sweden has been a DJ and producer for over 14 years. His professional DJ career has offered him the privilege of traveling and playing in some of the biggest clubs and festivals in Europe. These have included: Pacha (London), Club 404 and Sun Dance Music Festival with its 30.000 visitors.
On the production side Ike, together with his music partner Bastards of Funk, have released music on several world renowned labels such as Aurium Recordings, Commonwealth Recordings, Powerplant and Uno Recordings just to name a few, and have been featured on compilations such as Global Underground, Ministry of Sound, and Now Hear This.
Sonic Union and Bastards of Funk's music have received great support and has been played by world famous DJ's such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Papa, Satoshie Tomiie, Sister Bliss (of Faithless fame), Jim Rivers and Thomas Penton.
In 2008 the duo formed their own records label Lowbit Records and the first release caused quite a stir in the dance music community with support from major DJ's. They have also signed on several high profile artists to the label such as Thomas Penton, Chris Micali, Benz & MD, Onionz and Cid Inc.

http://www.myspace.com/sneakthedjIn 1983, Carlos Sosa AKA DJ Sneak, moved to the city of Chicago from the island of Puerto Rico, where his early musical experiences and influences were rooted in salsa, meringue and Latin orchestras. Chicago, like Puerto Rico, is a city rich with musical styles and sounds. In Chicago, Sneak found inspiration in underground house music, Warehouse parties and "old school" mix tapes from the early pioneers - Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ralphi Rosario, Steve Hurley and local radio station shows played on WBMX.
Sneak earned his nickname rocking graffiti-tags and began working at retail stores as an airbrush artist, which kept him out of trouble and allowed him to make important local industry contacts. Development as a DJ came while working regular mobile DJ jobs and local nightclubs. But, in an already saturated DJ pool, Sneak focused on his music production and started his independent label - Defiant Records.
In 1992, using the fundamental studio pieces, Sneak began recording tracks with an unusual new style. In 1994, while still working at local store Gramophone Records, Sneak met Cajmere (Green Velvet) owner of Cajual and Relief Records. Cajmere released three of Sneak's catalyst tracks, which helped to bring Sneak international recognition, and with it, a global DJing career.
In 1995, Sneak's new sound revolutionized house music with inspirational sounds and rhythms never heard. The disco filtered house grooves became Sneak's signature sound. Innovator to many, Sneak's love for music inspired others like Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Armand Van Helden.
In 1996, DJ Sneak's 'You Can't Hide from your Bud', on Derrick Carter's Classic Recordings, ironically became an instant classic itself; a blueprint for funky, filtered disco-influenced house - AKA Sneak Style - redefining Chicago's underground music. From 1996 to present day, DJ Sneak has perfected his remix skills, seizing opportunities to work with world-class talent and fine-tune his sound. His highly anticipated remixes take dance floors around the world to levels of climactic frenzy with his trademark booty-shakin, bass-heavy beats and rhythms.
After years of development, DJ Sneak is a familiar name across the world's club circuit playing the very best venues and events. A frequent visitor to Ibiza - the island of spiritual parties and Mecca of dance music culture, Sneak has participated in several events with the best UK production companies - Ministry of Sound, Cream, Manumission, and Miss Moneypenny's to mention a few.
A favorite at United Kingdom's summer festivals (Creamfields, T in the Park), Sneak shows no mercy on the sound systems and is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Recognized as the disco filter innovator, his productions and musical style has maintained his status as one of the Top 100 DJs in the world. Dynamic in style - from furious banging Chicago tracks and Latin tribal beats, to disco filtered reworks of retro classics and melodic rhythms to suit your soul.
In fall 2001 Sneak launched a new record label Magnetic Recordings, where he has been releasing new music (including Sneak's 2003's booty shakin' top 20 uk hit 'Fix My' Sink' and subsequent album 'Housekeepin'), with compilations to come, along with the introduction of new musical talents. He continues to contribute to the evolution and definitive sound that is Chicago House Music. The future brings light to DJ Sneak's journey, focusing on the development of electronic music's revolution and ongoing struggle to be acknowledged as the sound of tomorrow.
In 2005 Sneak was enlisted to mix the first installment of the acclaimed 'House Of Om' series on Om Records. Ministry of Sound came calling in 2006 to have Sneak mix a double CD for their 'Sessions' series as well as hosting Sneak's quarterly 'Sneak Beats' residency at their flagship club in London. 2007 saw Sneak contribute to the production of Todd Terry's 'Get Down.' Showing no signs of slowing down, Sneak released multiple EPs in 2008 ('Bounce Back EP,' 'House Beaters Volume 1,' 'Doing it in the Frisco EP,' and 'Big Man's Love EP') and his latest full length compilation, 'Special House Blend.' Watch for the forthcoming 'Droppin Kisses' by Sneak and Herve (CR2) and 'DJ Sneak "Back In The Box"' on NRK Music, both due in February 2009.
